"The Forever and the now”, named after a line from the poem “the pretext of place”, by Jorge Ortega, is a series about nature's reclamation. The Eco-catastrophe brought about by the commodification of nature has created a bleak vision of the future. One in which nature continually recedes to the interests of capital.
These photographs invite an alternative view of the future. A post-human future, where the natural world reclaims its central place. Eternal and indifferent to the shallow footprint of human civilisation, the natural world endures and outlasts.
